Celebrating the talent, skills and achievements of colleges

On Thursday 23 November, over 200 guests celebrated the talent, skills and achievements of colleges at CDN College Awards, Glasgow Hilton where Sally Magnusson, broadcaster acted as MC at the awards.

Guests gathered from the College Sector, industry and Scotland’s key educational agencies to recognise the talent, skills and achievements of colleges, their staff and learners. This year there were 60 entries from 20 colleges spread across the regions. The awards featured eight categories covering every aspect of college life and achievement.

The Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science, Shirley-Anne Somerville provided an inspiring speech saying, “Your voice as a sector continues to grow with pride” she went on to say:

Colleges matter, they are at the heart of what we do

Guests enjoyed a dance performance from Performing Arts Studio Scotland at Edinburgh College who performed a piece from the musical Dreamgirls.
