College Development Network (CDN) is a key college sector agency, we provide professional learning and development for college staff across Scotland. We have huge reach into the college sector and last year over 5,500 delegates attended CDN events.

Our services are shaped by the needs of the sector and Scottish Government’s strategic priorities. Working with partners, CDN has a key remit to turn policy into effective practice.

Head of Curriculum and Teaching
£45,356 (secondment considered)

The Head of Curriculum and Teaching is a new post which will report directly to the Chief Executive to form part of the organisation’s leadership team.

As the Head of Curriculum and Teaching you will be responsible for ensuring the Learning Workforce objectives within the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) Outcome Agreement are successfully achieved.  The objectives include supporting the development of the Professional Standards for College teaching staff, developing a National College Expo and providing talent development roadshows for the sector.  In addition, you will also manage funded projects which are out with the Outcome Agreement, lead a team of professionals and manage budgets effectively.

As a highly credible practitioner you will work closely with the Leads to ensure best practice in learning and teaching and innovation is shared across the sector.  From a leadership stance, you will ensure the Curriculum and Teaching team continually develops and delivers innovative learning and teaching, and develops services and resources in line with sector needs.

To ensure the organisation achieves its income generating objectives, it would be advantageous if you have experience of gaining and delivering commercial training projects.
