CDN College Awards 2024 Celebrates Talent and Innovation at Record-Breaking Ceremony

The CDN College Awards 2024 took place on Thursday, 14 November, at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow, drawing a record-breaking crowd of over 270 guests. This marked the largest Scottish College Awards event to date, showcasing the exceptional talent, innovation, and success of Scotland’s colleges, their staff, and students.

This year’s event was a true reflection of the ambition and excellence within the sector, with a total of 163 submissions from colleges across the country. These entries represented a diverse range of inspiring projects. Attendees were able to explore the impressive submissions through an interactive guide available online here.

The evening was hosted by the ever-popular Amy Irons, who returned to lead the celebrations, ensuring the night was filled with energy and excitement. The ceremony also featured a keynote address from Graeme Dey MSP, Scotland’s Minister for Higher and Further Education and Minister for Veterans. Graeme commented: “I’m thrilled to see that the sector has taken the time to recognise each and every one of your achievements.”

Alongside the presentation of 14 prestigious awards, the event featured entertainment from UHI Perth students, adding a creative touch to an already memorable evening. The students’ performances showcased the diverse talents nurtured within Scotland’s colleges.

This year’s CDN College Awards held special significance as it marked the 25th anniversary of the event, celebrating the ongoing impact of Scotland’s colleges on learners, communities, and the wider economy.

The CDN College Awards 2024 would not have been possible without the generous support of its sponsors. A special thank you to our sponsors for making this event a success.
