CDN is delighted to reveal the shortlist for the CDN College Awards 2026, celebrating the outstanding talent, dedication and achievements of Scotland’s colleges, their staff and learners.
This year, we received a phenomenal 195 entries from colleges across Scotland, showcasing the breadth of inspiring work taking place across the sector. From innovative approaches and outstanding learning and teaching to student-led initiatives, inclusive practice and work that makes a real difference to communities, the entries demonstrated the creativity, commitment and impact at the heart of Scotland’s colleges.
The 2026 shortlist shines a light on colleges of all sizes, individuals, teams and learners who are making a difference and going above and beyond. Their achievements highlight the vital role colleges play in transforming lives, strengthening communities and supporting Scotland’s economy.
A huge thank you to every single person who submitted an entry this year for taking the time to share your achievements and help showcase the incredible work happening across Scotland’s colleges.
And a special thank you to our wonderful panel of judges, who have dedicated their time, expertise and energy over the past month to carefully review all 195 entries. We really appreciate the hard work that goes into this crucial part of the Awards.
This year also sees refreshed Award categories, including the new Student-Led Initiative Award, recognising exceptional projects that demonstrate student leadership, creativity and impact.
The winners will be announced at the CDN College Awards ceremony on Thursday 3 December 2026 at the Radisson Blu, Glasgow, bringing together colleges, staff, learners and sector partners to celebrate excellence across Scotland’s college sector. We’re also delighted to welcome back Amy Irons as Master of Ceremonies.
