CDN’s Futures Lab is designed to help colleges build the confidence, creativity and agency to thrive in uncertainty. Using a Chaos to Discovery approach, it creates space to explore ideas, experiment and turn insight into action.
Through tailored workshops, Futures Lab brings together staff from across colleges – from lecturers and support staff to executive teams and board members. Using the Curiosity to Confidence framework, participants will explore new ideas, experiment with different approaches and build confidence to turn ideas into action. View the programme here.
Watch our short video with CDN’s Jo Turbitt and Gordon Hunt to discover what Futures Lab means in practice and how it can help colleges navigate what comes next.
Launching 1 October
Futures Lab launches on 1 October at 3pm with a special online event featuring Duncan Wardle, former Head of Innovation and Creativity at Disney.
Join us for an uplifting hour designed to beat the 3 o’clock slump, spark new ideas and introduce what’s coming in 2026–27.
Explore, experiment and get curious
Futures Lab also brings together two new opportunities to explore ideas, challenge thinking and try something different:
Carnival of Curiosity
From 6–8 October, CDN’s LinkedIn will become a space for imagination, experimentation and action, with opportunities to get involved and explore new ways of thinking.
FEAST – Fostering Experimentation, Agency, Skills and Transformation
A twice-monthly online session featuring creative thinking, provocative questions and practical experimentation.
