New Research Report Now Available

A new report published today by CDN, through CDN’s Research and Enhancement Centre, captures the experiences of leaders in colleges in coping with the pandemic crisis and examines what competencies they believe are essential for leading in volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous times.

The report charts their reflections on what worked well and what was less effective as they stepped up to the challenges of the pandemic and the pivot from face-to-face to online teaching and learning.

The report forms a set of linked anecdotes that capture their lived experience of the past year and a half, and their view of the leadership competencies required for college leaders. It also links those competencies with the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) that underpin the international Sustainable Development Goals. As well as providing a reflective report for use by leaders in the college sector, the research will help to inform the future development of CDN’s leadership programmes.
