New College Lanarkshire

Formed by the merger of Cumbernauld College and Motherwell College in November 2013, with Coatbridge College joining in April 2014. Since then, the college has formed campuses in Kirkintilloch, Hamilton and Broadwood. It spans over 675,500 sq. ft. and has over 20,000 students enrolled in courses across its several faculties.

A unique offering

Dedicated to continuous improvement, the college recently made a major investment in the latest technology and facilities across all campuses, to ensure that students have the highest calibre of resources at hand.

Each campus offers its own unique features – some with state-of-the-art training restaurants and hair and beauty salons to offer the hands-on training and experience both industries require, while the audio and media studio in Cumbernauld could rival that of any top record label.

Students who have chosen to study a sports course can take advantage of purpose-built facilities, including playing areas and a fitness suite. Broadwood Stadium, a multi-use stadium and sports complex, hosts the college’s own specialist sports campus while Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility also offers top-of-the-range facilities to sports students at the Motherwell campus.

Automotive programmes are also available at Motherwell and Cumbernauld, including a purpose-built HGV learning facility at the Motherwell Campus – the first of its kind for a Scottish college – offering a wide range of training opportunities.

The college spans over 675,500 sq. ft. and has over 20,000 students enrolled in courses across its several faculties.
