CDN has been working in partnership with several colleges, Who Cares? Scotland and the Open University Scotland, to develop the new Corporate Parenting in Colleges e-module, which is now available on CDN Learn Online.
The e-module introduces staff to the concept of Corporate Parenting and – through video testimony and case studies – to the experience of Care Experienced students. The module also offers staff the opportunity to reflect on and develop their own practice.
Colleges that adopt the module will be developing a workforce that understands that all college staff have a role as a Corporate Parent and a part to play in helping Care Experienced students remain at college and have a happy and successful learning experience. The module takes approximately 2 hours to complete and successful completion of the Knowledge Check allows staff to download a digital badge and completion certificate.
