Purpose of the Network
The EDI network represents EDI professionals and professionals with oversight of EDI matters in Scotland’s colleges. The network works closely with professionals across the sector to embed EDI in all college functions. It does so by streamlining EDI practices across Scotland’s colleges, identifying and maximising levers for change, and becoming a unified voice in the sector to drive structural change.
Focus of This Session/Current Priorities
- Provide a space to network, share practice, and hear from guest speakers.
- Discuss and take collective action in response to sectoral and national EDI priorities including progress against the National Equality Outcomes and legal changes.
- Amplify our voice through collaboration on campaigns and joint communications focused on member priorities.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as the Scottish Funding Council, Scottish Government and the Equality and Human Rights Commission to influence practice and input to national and sectoral change and projects.
Who May Wish to Attend
EDI professionals and any other professionals with responsibility for embedding EDI in their institutions and/ or leading on the public sector equality duty and regulatory framework in Scotland.
