Purpose of the Network
The Healthcare Network connects college staff working in health-related education to share best practices, foster collaboration, and provide peer support. It plays a vital role in aligning education with real-world healthcare needs by engaging with government and sector stakeholders to influence policy, support workforce development, and ensure qualifications and teaching remain relevant and practice-based.
Focus of This Session/Current Priorities
- Strengthening pathways into healthcare careers from the senior phase, with a particular focus on school-college partnerships.
- Exploring the impact of digital transformation in healthcare through collaboration with the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre (DHI).
- Planning and delivering a sector-wide conference titled Recruitment and Retention: Exploring Collaborative Models for Success, aimed at addressing workforce challenges through shared approaches.
