The latest MIS Development Network event was held at the Scottish Enterprise offices in Edinburgh; attended by college MIS representatives from around the country, we welcomed a range of presentations covering current topics of interest.

Brexit Issues for Colleges
Sarah Kirkpatrick, SFC Assistant Director, EU Exit

Sarah’s presentation covered the options open to colleges once the UK leaves the European Union. As the details of Brexit negotiations have yet to be agreed upon, a range of possible exit scenarios were discussed, with a focus on the implications for those with MIS responsibilities.

 

Online Application and Enrolment
Linda Grant, Edinburgh College

Linda delivered an overview of the College’s online application and enrolment process, raising the question of which questions should be front-loaded at the application stage. The slides described the current online process.
