The key purpose of the Guidance Network is to support staff involved in planning and implementation of guidance and student support services. It facilitates an exchange of views which encourage best practice in the delivery and development of professional learning. Our aims:

  • to represent the college sector on the Scottish Guidance Forum and other relevant forums
  • to advise on priorities for staff development in the area of guidance and student support services
  • to advise and support the planning activities for the development network
  • to provide a discussion forum to disseminate good practice
  • to develop relationships with relevant agencies across Scotland
  • to advise on research needs
  • to advise on the dissemination of research projects and the development of publications
