Purpose of the Network
The purpose of the Library and Information Staff Network is to promote the role and value of library and information staff within the sector. The Network and associated Jisc-mail group provides a platform for discussion and networking along with sharing and comparing of best practice.
Focus of the Network
Our focus for session 2021-22 is to continue to:
- provide a platform for sector discussion, networking and sharing of practice
- promote the role of libraries and library and information staff in supporting high quality teaching and learning and student and staff experience within the sector
- support engagement with key partners including the Scottish Library Information Council (SLIC), the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIPS) and the Academic and Research Libraries Group (ARLG).
Who should attend?
Membership of the network is open to all library and information staff working within the college sector in Scotland.
