New grant funding available for colleges

The charity Ufi is offering grant funding for FE colleges in Scotland and applications are now open.

The charity’s mission is to support the uptake and adoption of digital tools and technology to support adult vocational learning (Post-16).

VocTech Now is their COVID-19 response fund, which has been designed to support organisations that need to introduce digital methods since learning has been interrupted as a result of lockdown restrictions.

Ufi’s trustees have agreed to an FE-Extension of VocTech Now with an additional 10 grants ring fenced for FE Colleges in the UK.

Please note that the timescales are short and deadlines are coming up soon:

Open for applications: Wednesday 22 April 2020
Webinar for applicants: Friday 24 April at 10am
Deadline for applications: Wednesday 29th April 2000, 4pm
Decisions published: Thursday 7th May 2020

What is it?

VocTech Now is a targeted grant call to accelerate the use of VocTech tools to enable those in work or training to continue to engage with their vocational learning programmes during this period of travel disruption.

How much is available?

Small grants of between £10k and £25k to support vocational learning providers to rapidly transition to remote teaching and training and deliver accessible learning at a time of significant change.
