The Return of Elevate LT
CDN’s Elevate LT programme offers a practical and evidence-based professional learning solution to embedding transformative pedagogies and instructional techniques. Supported by innovative digital tools, including AI-enhanced resources, the programme helps enhance the impact of learning and teaching practice.
In partnership with TeachingHOW2s, CDN are delighted to offer all colleges in Scotland a dedicated number of fully funded places as the programme enters its second year, following a highly successful and well-received pilot last year. Building on strong engagement and positive feedback from participants, this exciting three-stage pilot programme continues to grow in impact and ambition, and will run across the academic year 2026-27.
What is Elevate LT?
Elevate LT brings together college teams from across Scotland to develop knowledge and skills through evidence-based teaching techniques and the sharing of practice, helping to create positive and engaging learning environments.
CDN will continue to support all Year 1 pilot groups while expanding the programme, enabling colleges to grow existing teams or form new groups.
Participants will receive full support through CDN’s training and resources throughout the programme.

Three stages (2026/2027)
Elevate LT Sessions offer a flexible and practical way to develop teaching practice, combining on-demand learning with collaborative, scheduled Elevate LT Collective sessions. Designed with busy professionals
in mind, the programme allows you to build knowledge and confidence at a pace that works for you, while still benefiting from shared discussion and live input where it matters most.
All elements are delivered as on-demand learning with the exception of scheduled TeachingHOW2s platform training sessions – giving you the freedom to engage when it suits your timetable, workload, and priorities.
Ignite and Initiate
(From September 2026)
Establishing Elevate LT Groups
Each Elevate LT group will consist of two roles: Advanced Practitioner and Practitioner
Groups are generally made up of up to ten people, comprising one to two Advanced Practitioners and eight to nine Practitioners.
Engage and Empower
(September 2026–January 2027)
In this stage, Elevate LT groups will be trained on working with the TeachingHOW2s platform
and engage in peer teaching observations for development.
Reflect and Refine
(January 2027–June 2027)
Those taking part in the programme will employ and trial evidence-based techniques and reflect within their college groups and as part of the broader Elevate LT Collective on the effectiveness of adopting these techniques as a means of enhancing practice and outcomes.

Participation in this programme is free for colleges, and we welcome applications here.
We do, however, require a firm commitment from participating colleges to ensure that those participating can take full advantage of the dedicated programme of training and support sessions, which form a key element of this programme.
