At CDN, we are constantly evolving—developing programmes, delivering high-impact training, and celebrating the exceptional people and achievements across Scotland’s college sector. We are incredibly proud of our past, committed to the present, and excited about the future.
In this section, we shine a light on two flagship initiatives that define our legacy and continue to inspire: College Expo and the CDN College Hall of Fame.
College Expo:
A Legacy of Innovation
Launched on 6 June 2018, College Expo quickly became a national platform for innovation, learning, and collaboration across the college sector. From in-person gatherings to its virtual evolution during the pandemic, the Expo consistently delivered fresh insights, shared leading practice, and fostered meaningful connections.
While we’ve now moved to more targeted, year-round events, the spirit of College Expo remains central to our work—and we may revisit the full Expo format in the future.
CDN College Hall of Fame: Celebrating Success
Unveiled at College Expo on 12 June 2019, the CDN College Hall of Fame honours college graduates who have made a lasting impact in their communities and beyond. With 12 inspiring individuals inducted so far—most recently at College Expo23—the Hall of Fame showcases the powerful role colleges play in shaping futures.
Although new inductions are currently paused, we continue to celebrate success through the College Awards, news stories, blogs, and sector-led research.
