CDN proudly hosts the Colleges Action Inquiry Research Network (CAIRN) Journal, a significant voice in scholarship across the Scottish college sector.

We’re delighted to launch Issue 4 of CAIRN this December and to open our call for submissions for the June 2026 issue. The deadline for draft proposals is 27 March 2026. Please send your proposal or full draft paper to: research@cdn.ac.uk

The journal provides a platform for sharing innovation, knowledge, and critical insights from active college-based researchers. Each issue features research articles, personal reflections, book reviews, and short narrative pieces that showcase innovative practices enhancing teaching and learning.

Our aim is to create a practitioner-focused publication that advances scholarship and fosters meaningful knowledge exchange. Our audience includes educators, researchers, leaders, developers, managers, and evaluators across the sector.
