Offered exclusively to staff in colleges in Scotland, this course will give you the opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills and reflective practice, and to apply those skills and develop leadership practice in the context of the college workplace.
This course focuses on the development of your personal management capabilities, and you as a reflective practitioner.
Your study includes Coaching Conversations, Managing a Project, and Reflective Practice. The content covers learning outcomes from two CMI Units – successful completion of the
assessments leads to the CMI Certificate in Management and Leadership.
We use a blended approach to your study – face-to-face workshops and online activity and engagement between the workshop sessions.
Learning in workshop sessions is through a mixture of cooperative learning techniques and flipped classroom approach.
Workshop sessions are held at our premises in Stirling and you will be expected to attend these on the dates below.
Between sessions you will also be working with CDN LearnOnline (CDN’s VLE) and CMI’s ManagementDirect where you will find activities, resources and a forum, to further develop your thinking and understanding.
Your tutor will be actively engaged with you in this forum between sessions.
