MIS Development Network Event – 21 November 2019

The latest MIS Development Network event was held at the Scottish Enterprise offices in Edinburgh; attended by college MIS representatives and stakeholders from around the country. We welcomed a range of presentations covering current topics of interest.

 

Post-College Destination Data & 16+ Data Hub Phase 2
Taylor Stewart, SDS
Taylor discussed an approach for capturing post-college destination and withdrawal data through the 16+ Data Hub monthly uploads. He also provided an update on planned developments with the Hub.

 

Brexit
Sarah Kirkpatrick, SFC Assistant Director, EU Exit
Sarah provided an update on the latest policy developments around Brexit, with a focus on areas most likely to impact on MIS. (No slides available)

 

National Articulation Database (NAD)
Scott Montgomery, Lead developer: National Articulation Database, SFC
Scott demonstrated the NAD spreadsheet that was released to colleges earlier this year and talked about some planned developments. (Update to follow)

 

SFC Update
Kenny Wilson, Senior Policy/Analysis Officer, SFC
Kenny provided an update on SFC processes to the membership.

Simon Hewitt, Vice Principal (Curriculum & Attainment), Dundee & Angus College
Simon presented on how D&A are using data-led decision making to solve the key business challenges. (Slides to follow)

Leann described D&A’s online enrolment and associated processes.

 

MyDay
