Danielle Jam inducted into the Hall of Fame at Virtual College Expo22

Today [Tuesday 23 August 2022], CDN is delighted to welcome Danielle Jam as the eighth inductee of the College Hall of Fame.

The College Hall of Fame highlights and recognises the outstanding contribution that college graduates and staff make to society and the economy; and demonstrates the variety of pathways to success from college.

Danielle Jam is a well-known Scottish actor, best known for her role in CBeebies’ Molly & Mack. When she left school Danielle took charge of her future by enrolling on to the HND Acting & Performance course at North East Scotland College.

After gaining her HND she went onto study a two-year joint course, Acting for Stage and Screen, with Edinburgh Napier University and Queen Margaret University. Here she was approached by an agent who submitted her for a CBeebies’ role in Molly & Mack, which she auditioned for and got the part.

After completing her degree, she went on to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time and acted in ‘It Wisnae Me’ with a Play, a Pie and a Pint at Oran Mor and Traverse Theatre. Danielle joined Dundee Rep’s Graduate Actor Scheme, a programme that helps graduates make the transition from drama school into the industry.

She is now a professional actor based in Glasgow.

Danielle was a nominee for the One To Watch Category in the Herald Scottish Culture Awards 2019, and was recently nominated in the UK Pantomime Awards 2022 for Best Principal Girl for my performance in Beauty and the Beast at HMT Aberdeen.

Danielle said:

The College Hall of Fame is a benchmark in my career I can look back on and be proud of. It’s a reminder my hard work paid off. That my dreams are now a reality. So much so that they are being recognised in big ways. College can support you on your way to achieving what you want. Thank you.
